Pride Month 2025

For many of us, Pride is more than a celebration, it’s about navigating layered identities and showing up for each other, even when it’s hard. MIBF exists to free people from immigration detention, and we know that queer and trans people, especially Black and brown migrants, are often targeted and detained by ICE.

Earlier this month, we spread the word about MIBF at @indygaymarket. We were blown away by the words of encouragement, the donations, and the energy brought to our table.

At the same time, some people shared that their loved ones were too afraid to attend Pride this year.

As Pride Month comes to an end, our message to the queer and trans community remains the same: we see you. We’ll keep working until freedom isn’t just a hope, but a reality.
